Green Bean Casserole

Put:
3 c water
1 t salt
in a pot & bring to a boil.

Add:
6-7 c fresh or frozen green beans
bring to boil again
& boil on med. for 10 min.
Drain.

Add:
1/4 t more salt
& toss.

Put the green beans in a casserole dish or glass pan.

Put:
1 c raw cashews
3 t dried minced onion
(yellow colored, not white)
or 1 1/2 t onion powder
1 t dried minced garlic
or 1/2 t garlic powder
1/4 c unsweetened shredded coconut
1 1/2 t salt
1 t dill
1 t parsley
1 3/4 c water
in a blender & blend for 1 - 2 min.
Pour over the green beans.

Press down with a spatula or back of a large spoon to smooth out & get the sauce to cover the green beans.

Put:
2 T onion powder
(yes! it give a tasty fried onion flavor)
1/2 t garlic powder
1/2 t salt
on a large plate & stir.

Preheat oven at 350º

Press both sides of:
2 slices of healthy bread
in the powder mixture & crumble bread very fine in a bowl.

Sprinkle any of the remaining powder mixture over the breadcrumbs in the bowl & stir.

Then sprinkle the breadcrumbs over the green beans.

Press the breadcrumbs into the green beans with the back of a large spoon.

Bake uncovered at 350º for 40 - 45 min. until golden brown.

Serve
or cool down & refrigerate in an airtight container for up to 3 days
or freeze.
